Activity Name: Freshers Day Celebration 2023

The First Year MCA students of IICMR College were welcomed with a bang at the Fresher’s Party organized by the IICMR MCA ARKO club on 13th January 2023 at The Legally 21, Wakad manifesting youth and enthusiasm at its full flow. Jovial smiles and high spirits marked the welcome party for the students which was aptly called Fresher’s Night 2K23. The students gathered on the dance floor in herds eagerly waiting for it to begin with pulsating ambience, flashing lights and foot-tapping music, the party began with a blast. To set everyone in party mode, the DJ started playing wonderful and joyful music and the crowd sang along. Joy and happiness could be seen in students of MCA 1st Year. They were enjoying the party and making memories of their lives. Proceeding further Mr. and Miss Fresher contests were conducted. The Ganesh festival celebration was successfully conducted by MCA department from 10th September 2021 to 14th September 2021. This time three students from MCA First year made eco-friendly Ganpati idol from Shadu clay and natural colours. On 10th September 2021 Ganpati Pratishthapana executed in the presence of Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR MCA , Dr. Abhay Kulkarni , Director IICMR and non teaching staff. On 14th September MCA department executed Ganpati Arti along with Director and staff online and offline mode . On Fifth day 14th September 2021 afternoon Ganpati Visarjan was arranged by faculty members in eco friendly way.

Deserving young talents of the IICMR MCA , were bestowed with the responsibility of leading their Department from the front with their commitment, confidence and competence on 2nd June 2022 held ARKO Club Oath Taking Ceremony in the IICMR premises. The Ceremony started with a warm welcoming of Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR MCA & Teachers. The Oath Taking Ceremony with great enthusiasm. IICMR MCA held 20th annual Sports Week Rainbow – Aakshik 2022 from 2nd June to 5th June 2022.It is one of the largest co-curricular activity that offer an extensive opportunity to all the students of college. This venture shall enable the students and staff to have fun, learn new sports, enhance social interaction and tests one’s physical capability. These competitions also offer a break from the daily routine tasks and recreate or re-energetic them. Considering the concept of “SPORTS FOR ALL” IICMR MCA ARKO club organized Inter-house tournaments as well as outdoor sports activities for students and staff (teaching and non-teaching). The formal inauguration is held on 2nd June 2022 in presence of Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR MCA , Ms. Vandana Pednekar ARKO Coordinator IICMR MCA and other staff and students. Inauguration is followed by Torch Relay around IICMR ground and indoor sports.

Carrom Girls - Winner Vaishnavi Gurav and Vrunda Kulkarni and Runner up Aishwarya pawar and Riya Ghodeswar.

Gurupornima was celebrated by MCA students on Tuesday, 7th July 2020 under ARKO club initiative through virtual participation using Microsoft Team as students could not gather together due to COVID – 19 pandemic. However, the students and the teachers enjoyed the moment on the virtual platform. The programme began with a warm welcome of the teachers followed by virtual SarswatiVandana. Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR-MCA appreciated the students for the initiative and for their virtual attendance for the programme. The programme included various performances by students- poems, music and movies made by the students relevant to the current scenario. The performances were followed by games conducted for teachers like ‘Guessing the movie names by pictures’ & ‘identifying Teachers from their childhood photographs’. Teachers enjoyed these games. Thankyou students for making it special!!

Guru Purnima was conducted by MCA 1 students under Arko club in the guidance of Mrs.Vandana Pednekar-MCA Arko co-ordinator on 23th July, 2021,Friday. Opening remark was given by Tanmay Salunke and Amruta Yelwande and then program began with the warm welcome of the teachers by giving then roses by the Arko members and dedicating a short video which was prepared by Rohit Pawar and team. It was a memorable moment for faculty members and director. The program proceeded with the games were conducted for teachers like “Mind Checker”, ”View-Counter View” & “Drop the Glass” by Anuj Singh & Mansi Bansal. Then Both online & offline students dedicated performance for teachers and shared their experiences. It was then proceeded by Cake cutting programs and the cake was prepared by Samruddhi Kulkarni MCA first year student. Then Vote of thanks was given by Saurabh Palande and finally the program concluded with refreshments for our faculties & students.

IICMR MCA organized farewell party on December, 11 2021 in Publiq restaurant where MCA department bid farewell to the pass out students of MCA Batch 17-20 and Batch 18-21 with great enthusiasm. Function began with warm welcome of students and faculties. Then Head of Department Ms. Renu Mathew in her speech wished good luck to the students of MCA for their future. she also expressed her hope that students will hold top positions in their career down the line. . Dr. Deepali Sawai addressed the students with her inspiring words. she advised the students for having determination and control to never look back. All the students were felicitated by the Director and staff . Program then proceeded with music and dinner at restaurant. The Ganesh festival celebration was successfully conducted by both MCA and MBA students under the guidance of Mrs.Vandana Pednekar-MCA Arko coordinator and Mr. Maruti Prasad-MBA coordinator from 2th September 2019 Monday to 6th September 2019. The first day program, on 2nd Sept,2019, Ganpati pratishthapanna in the presence of Dr. Deepali Sawai, Director IICMR MCA , Dr. Abhay Kulkarni , Director IICMRand Arko members. As a tradition of IICMR cultural programs were conducted on 5th Sept 2019 during Ganpati festival. MCA students and staff enjoyed the program. On fifth day that is on 6th morning Aarti was carried by Technical Director Dr. Deepali Sawai at 9:15am. In afternoon at 2.00pm Visarjan Aarti was carried by ARKO members. The program began with the warm welcome of the teachers by giving then roses by the Arko members and dedicating a welcome song to every teacher. It was a memorable moment for our faculty members and our directors. The program proceeded with the games were conducted for teachers like ‘Pyramid game’, ‘Guessing the movie’ & ‘Catch the balls’ by Pragati, Anish & Akash. Energetic and graceful performances like group dance, solo dance, group singing, solo singing were performed by MCA MBA students for the entertainment of teachers. The program begun with the warm welcome of junior students of Technocrats and Code-Warriors. The Technocrat girl Miss. Dipti was selected as ‘New Miss Fresher’. & Technocrat boy Mr.Vinit Bansal was selected as ‘Mr.Fresher’. The evening was mesmerised with enthusiastic dance performances, songs and poems were there by first year as well as second year students.

As a tradition of IICMR cultural programs were conducted on 15th Sept 2018 during Ganpati festival. Students performed various art activities POWADA, Tribute to Kerala, Gazal, mimicry, group dance, singing etc. on fourth day 10.00 am ‘Satyanarayan Pooja ‘ was held. On Fifth day 17th morning Ganpati visarjan was arranged by ARKO memebers with ‘Dhol Pathak’.

Dandiya fest 2018 planned at City pride school ground with DJ music system on 13th Oct 2018 by ARKO club. Students played Garaba and Dandiya with lot of energy and enthusiasm. Dr. Ashwini Kulkarni has also participated in Dandiya play and Garaba. All students and teachers were in the colourful traditional dressings, melodious music & smiley faces have created a cloud of joy in IICMR campus. MCA 2nd year student ‘Panjali’ awarded as ‘Best Drapery’ and MCA 1st year student ‘Divyesh’ awarded as ‘Best Dancer’. All students enjoyed this program up to 9.30 pm.
