Course Details: Our third batch on AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification training course was started on 9th May 2022. The training was attended by 16 students of MCA II. The course was intended for students who seek an overall understanding of cloud computing concepts, independent of specific technical roles. It provided a detailed overview of cloud concepts, AWS core services, security, architecture, pricing, and support. The course was conducted in two phases. Five modules of the course were conducted as a part of open course AWS Cloud fundamentals and remaining five modules were condcuted for the students those who are interested to do the global certification. The training was conducted on digital platform MS team. Under this training students completed lab exercises related to each module followed by the knowledge checks available on Canvas. Students also explored AWS database services, including Amazon Relational Database Service (Amazon RDS), Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon Redshift, and Amazon Aurora.

Course Details: For this course, 10 students from MCA II were selected based on based on their preference towards IoT opportunities. The course was a 4 days program from 8th Jan to 11th Jan 2020 for 7 hrs each day. These Students have completed IoT training, project and exam.  This course is designed to provide practical IoT knowledge to students through various projects. Students have completed projects - Plant monitoring system,Controlling LED, Industrial Safety Alert , Advanced Graphs and changing the sound of Buzzer, Sending an Email when temperature crosses threshold, Bitcoin alert system, Understanding Temperature Prediction project, Room light monitoring project using Z-score Analysis, Capstone Project. In addition to this, Students have completed projects like Alarm Clock using Bolt and controlling Buzzer, volume control system using BOLT wifi module and buzzer, controlling LED intensity using Bolt IoT & Google Assistant.

The students were selected based on their % attendance (above 60%) and secondly by their performance Android Mini project. It was also made sure that these students have not attended any prior Add on Courses conducted at IICMR.

The course was conducted as a full day (8 hrs ) training by Ms. Jayshree of NES.

The profile of the Trainer: Jayashree M Bhoi has pursued training on Android. She is technically sound with cross-functional abilities , an ever-ready attitude, proficient interpersonal and decision-making skills. She also has clear and effective communication and quick adaptability. She is familiar with Software Engineering concepts. She is certified as Android Application Developer. She has understanding of Siebel Scripting, and Siebel Configuration and JAVA .

Objectives:

1. To revise and revisit Basic English Grammar so as to improve communication.
2. To develop confidence with respect to English Communication skills.
3. To be able to have an effective verbal as well non-verbal communication in English.

The entire Business English Course was categorised under certain key areas of Grammar, Spoken and Non-Verbal Communication; each topic was allotted sessions as per suggestions by the Trainers and each session comprised 2hr. The course was conducted in 2 Batches with 20 students in each batch.

2. To groom them for Linux Certification exam (RHCE)

Course Details:

The students were selected based on their attendance (above 60%) and secondly by their performance in a prerequisite test. This test was designed by the trainer. The first 40 students who topped the exam with min 50% score were then selected to attend the course.

The course was conducted as a full day (8 hrs ) training with hands on by Mr. Tushar Oza. The lectures and hands were held at IICMR.

Mr. Tushar Oza and Mr. Akshay Ingle who conducted the theory and practical sessions respectively .

Profile of the Trainer : Mr.Tushar Oza is certified in MCSE, CCA (Citrix Certification)ITIL Certification, Linux , NetApp Certification Training (NCDA), VMWare Certification Training (VCP).He has  12+ years in IT Infrastructure Management.  He has complted MCA Distinction and 2nd Rank (TMV)  and B.E. Instrumentation with Distinction (University of Pune)

Objectives:

1. To give a hands on training for Laptop repairing awareness to students.

Course Details:

IICMR  has organized 3 days “Laptop repairing workshop” for the students of IICMR. This workshop is organized from 11-9-2013 to 13-2013. Prof. Arun More has delivered the sessions in this program. Total 33 students are  benefited from this program..

Prof. Arun More gave hands on sessions to the students .Students have understood the inner configuration of Laptop and have gained  the knowledge about the various problems of Laptop and its solutions.

Students got the confidence  about Laptop repairing by participating in the program.

Prof. Arun is M.Sc.(Physics –Electronics).B. Ed., with teaching experience of 14 years.

Dept of Electronics at MIT College Pune, HOD. Dept of Physics at D. Y Patil College Akurdi,  Sr. Visiting faculty MCED program of comp Hardware (1997-1999), Sr. Visiting Faculty for CEDTI Courses –Comp Hardware., Teaching comp hardware from 1995 at various institutes

The students for this course were selected based on 2 criteria’s. First being 60 % attendance and then their performance based on a prerequisite test provided by the Oracle Trainer on SQL Basics.

Trainer’s Profile : Mr. Sanjay Mathapati, Ms. Priyadarshani

Mr. Sanjay is a faculty member of IICMR since 2002 and has sound knowledge of Database SQL and PLSQL. He is Oracle certified faculty member.

Ms. Priyadarshani is also the Oracle certified faculty of IICMR and working from 2013.

Objectives:

• To introduce essentials of Mobile Application Development using Android

Course Details:

The students for this course were selected based on 2 criteria’s. First being 60 % attendance and then their performance based on a prerequisite test provided by the Trainer. The topics for the prerequisite test were as follows

1. Core Java with OOAD features 
2. JDBC
3. SQL syntax
4. XML

Trainer’s Profile: Veena Moktali-Naik , Suchita Malshette

Veena Moktali-Naik has 17 years of experience managing and developing products and delivering IT services related to a number of domains using technologies like J2EE, .NET, mobile technologies including Android and iPhone, and many others. She currently runs 2 enterprises viz., “Polaris Academy” which provides Technical Competency Assessments to IT companies and “Periwinkle Technologies” which provides IT solutions to companies. Veena is also heading the product development division at Periwinkle Technologies through which "Bhramar" - a hyper-local Android application - has been launched in May 2013 and has been gaining popularity since then.

Suchita Malshette is a part of the Periwinkle Android development team. She has a good practical knowledge of the platform attained through WiMC at CDAC and her experience at Periwinkle.
