Mission

To provide user centric Informative Environment, for creating inspiration for teaching, inspiration for researcher and support life long learning by Establishing systematic process of selecting and acquiring learning and research material of various media through collaboration of management, staff and students. Ensuring easy storage and retrieval. Monitoring adequate usage of available knowledge resources by stake holders.

IICMR Library system consists of two departmental Libraries, collectively support the teaching, research programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members and employees of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership. The Library, besides having a qualitative and quantitative collection of books on Management, technical, Computer and general offers library services. The Library uses Auto-lib software package which is an integrated multi-user library management system that supports all in-house operations of the Library. The Auto-lib consists of modules on acquisition, cataloguing, circulation, serials, article indexing and OPAC. Features include Book Request, Member History. (Users Accounts Details) These help for quick search and save the time of users.

Library: Rules & Regulations:

All the students, faculty members and employees of the Institute can register themselves for the membership of the Library. All Students, faculty and staff members are issued bar-coded patron cards. Their entitlements, in terms of the number of books that can be borrowed by them, are as follows

Membership Renewal:

The Bar code shall remain valid for the period indicated on ID Card. The students, faculty and staff members can get their bar code renewed in July/August, June and December respectively on surrendering all borrowers cards issued to them and after settling all other dues. Faculty, staff and students members are being switched over to bar-code based circulation system.

Checking out Library Documents

Registered Library members are allowed to check out Library documents as per their entitlement mentioned above. Reference and Text Books are not issued out. CDs of Books & magazines, University Syllabus, Old University Question Papers, Log Table, Backdated journals are issued for overnight. Bound volumes of journals are not issued out.

Renewals

Books issued to you can be renewed unless they are reserved by someone else. You need to bring the books to the Library for getting them re-issued.

Books issued to you can be renewed unless they are reserved by someone else. You need to bring the books to the Library for getting them re-issued.

Reserving the Documents

A library user can reserve a book currently out on loan by requesting staff at the Circulation Counter.

Loss of Books

The borrower is required either to replace the books with a recent edition, if available or pay its cost.

Overdue Charges

Overdue charges at the rates mentioned below are charged for late return of the books: Rs. 1.00 per day for the books issued.
