Scope:
Enhance student’s Knowledge, Skill and Ability by Understanding Business, Quality, Measurement systems and Operational Excellence tools and techniques.
Objectives:
1. Creating a Business Focused Mindset in students that enables systems thinking and linking.
2. Linking business with In-depth functional Orientation – Marketing, Finance, HR thereby creating a 360 degrees dimensions of organizations.
3. Understanding Quality aspect, Measurement and role of quality in operational Excellence.
4. Using and Interpreting seven Quality tools – and their applications to various functions.
5. Develop a perspective of continuous improvement for operational excellence.
Spread of module:
Day – 1 : Dwelling in Business, Perspectives of business, drivers of business, concept of surplus, Business Environment, - Internal as well as external, stake holders in Business their roles and expectations Concept of Operational Excellence: with case example Understanding Q of Quality ,explain quality tree diagram, Quality function
Day – 2 : Using Quality tools for analysis , corrections and consistency
Tools: Histograms, Pareto Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Run Charts, Scatter Diagrams, Flow Charts, Control Charts ...
Day -3 : Marketing Process Overview (objectives, Process, Measurement)
